Emma Schuffenhauer – organ
Emma Schuffenhauer comes from Germany, where she studies church music in Halle. From January to June, she has been in Tromsø as part of an Erasmus exchange programme. In her final days in the far North, she presents a wonderful and varied concert programme.
The concert opens with the lively Toccata in Seven by the much-loved John Rutter, followed by works by Robert Schumann and Florence Beatrice Price. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Trio Sonata No. 3 in D minor highlights the chamber-music qualities of the Grønlund organ, while Max Reger’s Introduction and Passacaglia reveals its profound symphonic and Romantic possibilities.
