Slowly, the days grow longer and the sun rises once more above the horizon. After two months of darkness, the returning light signals a turning point for those living far in the north: a journey toward the season when the sun no longer sets. More light, more colour, more energy.
At the Arctic Cathedral, you are invited to experience the magnificent Grønlund organ, played by the cathedral’s organist, Thorsten Ahlrichs. The programme features a varied selection of organ music, spanning from the 18th century to the present day.
Take half an hour to sit back and enjoy the unique, calm, and minimalist atmosphere of this extraordinary church, and listen as Thorsten gives musical shape to the returning light in each concert.
