ARcTic Sustain is an ensemble consisting of musicians affiliated with the Tromsø Conservatory of Music. The ensemble focuses on new music and seeks to create new stories and performances about the North.
The concert at the Arctic Cathedral will present new Norwegian celebratory music that has roots in church music, Norwegian folk music and poetry. It will include the premiere of Henrik Ødegaard's work "Micro-euphonic hymn" and a performance of Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen's "Det andre lyset", with lyrics by Stein Mehren.
