Architecture

The church consists of 11 aluminum-coated concrete slabs on each side of the roof, giving it a distinctive appearance. The main entrance is marked by a large glass facade with a distinct cross, while the east wall has an impressive glass mosaic that was installed in 1972.

The artist Victor Sparre created one of his most important works with his glass art. It depicts the hand of God from which three luminous rays emanate; one through Jesus, one through a woman and one through a man. The stained glass is rich in symbols and attracts great attention from visitors. The oak pews, the large prism chandeliers, the altar ring and the pulpit constitute the most important part of the interior. Everything is kept in a style that fits well with the rigor and simplicity of the church room.

The organ

The church organ was built in 2005 by Grönlunds organ builders. It has 42 stops divided over three manuals and a pedal, and is built in a modern style with a certain French-Romantic influence. The organ is masterfully adapted to the church's architecture and can evoke associations with sails and ice floes.

The organ has 2,940 pipes, the longest of which is 32 feet long and the smallest is 5 millimeters. Much of the wood is solid pine and the bellows are made of reindeer hide.
